One Step at a Time

It's amazing how things finally start working out...

The last few weeks I've been having a hard time with all this rejection. It all started with losing elections, but for awhile I just kind of avoided all emotions and feelings. I didn't have time for it. Finally after two weeks of nothing going my way, the last straw hit the pile and I lost it. I didn't get Country Swing presidency which, in and of it self didn't matter, I didn't want it that badly, and honestly, it would have been just one more thing, but it was just one more time of being told no that put me over the edge.

I went home that night and finally let all the emotions loose that I had been bottling up for weeks. I cried myself to sleep that night. I cried harder and longer than I have in a really long time. I woke up the next morning exhausted and with red, puffy eyes.

It was all the rejection, the stress, the craziness.

I was working so hard on everything and nothing was going my way. On top of all the rejection for positions, etc. I was dealing with school and my nearly-failed class, I was planning A-Week, I was running out of money which led to stressing about how to pay for school in the fall, and I didn't have a house for the summer or fall. I just couldn't handle it anymore.

Well apparently, that was the key. After that night, things started looking up.

A-Week started coming together... A-Week ended...
Erin and I found a place to live that we can live in for both summer and fall...
Country Dancing has been INCREDIBLE the last few weeks...
My friends are great...
Summer is almost here... (two and a half weeks!)
I got all the classes I needed/wanted for fall...
and tonight....
I got a new scholarship.
Thank you ASUSU.
$800 per semester less to worry about.

I am a happy girl these days.

So yes, I'm more than ready for this semester to be over. I need summer. I need sunshine, A-Team, and a break.

But things are definitely looking up.
