Simple Joys

There were so many little things that made me so randomly happy today that I decided to document them. :)
*on my way home today I was walking along and there was a happy old grandpa walking in the other direction. And we said hi to each other.
*just after the happy old man, a truck drove by with a horse trailer. In the trailer were 2 horses and instead of spreading out and using the whole trailer they were cuddled together.
*in choir, we're singing a song in French. I forget how much I loved French.
*there's a boy that I really like and I got to talk to him today. :)
*the sun was out today!
*we're having a roommate movie and pizza night! (well it started as roommates, but it turned into only two of us.)
*the snow is melting so there's mud and puddles everywhere! Fun!
*on Fridays, Diet Coke refills are only 35 cents at the Quickstop.
*I was late to a class and I didn't care :)
*in that class that I was late to, we're currently learning about the Harlem Renaissance and jazz. So today we watched a movie about jazz music.
*we went to Walmart
*it was crazy busy, but so fun!
*while we were wandering we got separated and just as I pushed the 'send' button to call Amy to find them, my phone vibrated and it was Amy calling me!!!
*I love the bread aisle at grocery stores. It smells so good!
*Amy and I bought fruit snacks. She bought a box that are in the shape of the various pieces of the game Operation, and I bought ones that are from the movie Cars, and we're going to split them. :)
*we had so much fun waiting in line! They were long and the machines were all freezing up so it took FOREVER but we loved it! We couldn't stop laughing!

True Love

So I just have to tell you how much I'm in love with Aggie basketball. There is seriously nothing better on this earth. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love being in the Spectrum. It's seriously incredible. As is our team! Right now we're 19-1. The only team we've lost to is BYU, but don't get me started on that one. We're definitely getting national recognition! As of this last week we were ranked 29th in the Coaches Poll and something like 35th on the AP poll. We're definitely expecting to move up this week though! We just beat Hawaii tonight (for the first time on their court since we joined the WAC) and it was great. I love watching our boys play! It makes a difference in the Spectrum though, let me tell ya! Teams fear coming here. We're pretty intense. Last week when we played Boise State it was seriously full. Watching the game at Hawaii tonight was a very different story! We're so loud and have so much fun! I love it! Anyway, it's nearly 2 in the morning, I've been studying all day (minus the 2 hours of basketball of course) and I'm exhausted. So goodnight to you all. Here's a picture :)

Engagements!

So I officially feel old. Within just a couple of hours, two of my really good friends have gotten engaged! My roommate was technically already engaged, like they've been planning it and everything, but tonight he actually got down on one knee and had a ring for her. And it's gorgeous! They're such a cute couple, Hugh is so great for her. :) And then after watching it, I came in and got on Facebook and found out one of my friends from back home got engaged tonight too! It's so crazy, but so great! Now all I have to say is "where's mine?" haha just kidding. I don't want to get married. Yet anyway. haha. Congrats you guys!! I love you all!

My Favorite Form of Entertainment

So it's that time of year again. That's right, American Idol. I'm addicted. It's the best at the time of the season where it's the auditions. So great! I love that people think they can actually sing. I mean, it's one thing to go in knowing full well you aren't going to make it, just to do it for fun. (which is what I totally want to do one day!) I love it when the judges just can't contain themselves. Like the girl who went first tonight, Randy was cracking up the whole time and then told her she sounded like a dying cat. Love it! It's cruel, but so entertaining. And then it will get to the point where we'll have our new David Cook. I'm in love with him by the way. I'm hoping there won't be any shocking eliminations this time. (Remember Michael Johns!? Sad day.) So anyway, I'm glad to have something to fill up my t.v. time now... not that I need it, but oh well. I make exceptions for shows like this. AND Lost starts next week. :D Oh, and p.s A-Team is going to ROCK! We had our opening reception tonight and it's going to be so fun! Everyone on it is so happy and funny. I can't wait to see what it brings!!

Semester #2!

I can't believe I'm already into my 2nd semester of college! So far, it's going so well! I'm really excited for all of it! I've got a busy schedule, but it shouldn't be to tough. Here's an overview:

Anatomy- SO EXCITED! Haha it shouldn't be any secret that I love the human body. It's so fascinating! The class will be tough, but I've had anatomy before so I kinda have the upper hand on some other people. To go with this class there's a lab. Besides being totally exciting and interesting, it's taught by two of the most attractive men I've ever seen! They're super smart, future doctors, and just overall attractive. :)

Sports Psychology- This one will be great too! It will be interesting, plus again, attractive men are in this class. It's full of more future doctors as well as many of my school's athletes.

History of P.E- Yes, you read the right. Not only did I choose to take the History of P.E., I HAVE to take it. It's a requirement for my major. Haha it shouldn't be too bad though. It'll be pretty easy.

Humanities- This one is just a general, but it should be good. We're just talking about the arts and literature and stuff from the Modernism Era until now.

Women's Choir- I decided that I miss the seriousness of my high school choir, so instead of doing the institute one, I'm doing the one through the school that I didn't have to audition for. It'll be fun!

Ballroom Dance- 3 words. More. Attractive. Men. haha that definitely helps in a class with all the physical contact and such that this class has. I love dancing. Today we started the Viennese Waltz. So fun! And like I said, gorgeous men. :)

So I think that covers it! Plus, I have institute and then I'll have an A-Team training class too. So it's busy, but it'll be fun!

Home Sweet Logan!

So I never thought I'd say this, but I'm excited for school! Haha. School starts on Monday for this next semester and it's going to be great! I had an AMAZING break... long story... maybe for another post... but anyway. I'm back in Logan. Back to the snow and the cold. Back to my friends and my school-family. I've missed everyone so much! It was great to be home for a bit, but I definitely love being out on my own! I hope everyone else had a great Christmas and New Year's. I know I did and can't wait to see what 2009 will bring!
