Midnight Musings

So it's not quite midnight, but close enough...

I hate group projects. End of story.

I need a man. Seriously. My dear friend Jordan tells me that I don't, and in the ways he talks about it, he's right. I  don't need one to feel pretty, I don't need one to keep me entertained. But after having a relationship, I miss it. Honestly, I'd take a good cuddle or something at this point. I realized I never really had my rebound, and maybe I need that. I look around at my engaged/married friends, and I want it. I want to be in love. Yep. I said it. I want deep, passionate, committed, freakin' love.

I've hit the point in the semester that I'm just done. I'm tired. I'm cold. I'm sick of school. I have zero motivation right now. Every morning, I wake up and it takes all I have to drag myself to the shower and to class. My classes are redundant and I'm ready for them to be over. I feel stressed and overwhelmed. I'm ready to go home for awhile.

It makes me happy when random people happen upon my blog. Welcome to Eva!

My head hurts... I need drugs.

I'm going to bed.

Day 20 - A Place You'd Love to Travel

I want to go everywhere!! Here are a top few...
(yes, they are all purposely skyline pictures. I kind of love them.)

UNITED STATES
(minus the places I've already been but want to return to)
Boston, Mass. (02134, send it to Zoom! bahaha)
NYC

Chicago
Seattle

EUROPE

London

Venice

Scotland

And now I'm having computer/internet issues, so even though I've only covered half the world,
 this will have to do.
Keep in mind I also want to go to:
Australia
Chile
Africa
China
and so many others...

Day 19 - A Picture of Someone You Miss

Arizona Weekend

One Wednesday,  I got a call from my friend Aaron.

"Hey, what are you doing this weekend?" he said. "Want to go to Arizona?"

I thought about it for a second, realized I didn't really have anything going on, so I said sure!

His brother-in-law had bought a car from his grandparents who live in Mesa and he needed to go pick it up. Nathanael is a huge Seahawks fan, so he and Aaron had been planning on going up to Seattle at some point to go to a game. He had had the trip to AZ planned for awhile, and then found out the Seahawks would be playing the Cardinals the weekend he was there so he invited Aaron to join him. Aaron, knowing that I'm a huge Cardinals fan, then invited me.

So it was a super spontaneous trip, which is always fun.

Aaron and I drove my dad's car down Saturday (Nov. 13), taking a pit stop at the Grand Canyon...

We spent the night in Mesa, and Sunday morning, met up with the guy who was selling us his tickets. We headed to University of Phoenix Stadium, wandered the tailgate parties (which, p.s, these guys really know how to tailgate! It was legit.) The stadium is right next to Jobing.com Arena (where the Phoenix NHL team plays) and there's a whole group of restaurants surrounding it (along with more tailgating). We grabbed food and wandered around for a bit...

Finally, the gates were about to open so we headed back to the stadium.

Even though he's not really a Seattle fan, Aaron wore the jersey because Nathanael had an extra. It made the day very entertaining. People commented all the time. Most the time it was directed at me saying things like "What are you doing with these idiots?" During the game I sat in between the two of them, and we got a lot of the same. It was highly entertaining.

Even though my boys lost, I had a blast. It was my first NFL game and it was SO fun! Aaron and I decided it's a good thing Utah doesn't have an NFL team because then we would a) spend too much money and b) miss too much church.

The epicness of the weekend didn't stop there though.

After the game, we drove down to Tucson to see my family for a bit, then drove back to Utah Monday morning. Aaron's family already had plans to go the Jazz game for his sister's birthday that night, so I just tagged along.

Apparently I'm bad luck... My first NFL game, my team loses. My first NBA game, my team loses... But oh well! It was such an epic weekend and I loved every second of it :)

Day 18 - The Cast of Your Favorite Show

Days 16 and 17

Day 16 - Someone I want to switch lives with for a day...

Secretly, well, not-so-secretly now I guess, I almost want to know what it's like to be a man. Not in the way that I want to live their lives or BE a man, but if I could switch with someone, just for a day, I could get an idea of what they're really like. What goes on in their heads (and otherwise) and just really try and figure them out.

Let's be honest, we're all curious about the celeb life. If I were to choose one to switch with for a day, it would for sure be Reese. She's adorable, classy, and a good actress. Plus she gets to kiss lots of cute boys in her movies, and I'm fully ok with that.

Day 17 - My favorite song

This one is HARD! My favorite song totally depends on the day... Here are a few current favorites...

Anberlin - Inevitable

Valencia - Safe to Say

The Band Perry - If I Die Young
*fun fact about this one... Every time I hear it, I think of Lord Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott." (ok maybe most of my experience of that poem comes from this scene of Anne of Green Gables...) Anyway, turns out I was right! When they wrote the song, that's the poem they got the idea from.*

Donny Osmond - Come to the Manger(it's Christmas time, I couldn't resist)

Day 15 - A Picture of Something I Want to do Before I Die

1. go to games
here...

and
here...

(not really even a Cubs fan, but I think it's kind of the epitome of baseball games...)

2. travel the world

3. get married here

and raise an awesome family.

Winter

I know I'll get to where I'm complaining about it eventually, but I am in LOVE with the last couple of days.

Each night, I've gone a walk in the snow late at night.

It's gorgeous out there.

Fresh snow.
Air so cold your nostrils freeze.
It's so cool to see your breath in the air.
Sliding on the ice (on purpose) is highly entertaining.

Tonight I was the first person to walk across the HPER field.
Magical.

There was a huge snowstorm today and it was wonderful.
School was canceled.
We spent the afternoon and evening watching How I Met Your Mother and Christmas movies.
A great way to start the long weekend.

Day 14 - Someone You Can't Imagine Your Life Without

Why are these questions all so hard??

After thinking about it long and hard (ok maybe like two minutes) I decided I've kind of touched on most the important people in my life. Even throughout the life of my blog, I've talked a lot about everyone. Everyone except this guy...

Ladies and gentlemen, my one and only brother, in all his glory.

He's kind of a dork.

Sometimes he's mean to me and ties me up.

But all in all, he's pretty great...

We've come a long way

He's pretty awesome I guess.
I miss him more than I ever thought I would.
We're closer now than ever.
I REALLY hope he chooses to be and Aggie.
Because that would be legit.

Day 13 - Something I Hate

Hate? Hate is a little strong...

I hate stupid people. And not like in the low IQ way (although...) but in a lack of common sense way. I can't handle it.

Also, I hate being late.

I hate disorganized organizations and/or events.

I hate being bad at something.

I hate when boys will talk in their mission language to each other because they know you don't understand. (though it kind of makes me laugh at the same time)

I hate tomatoes and cucumbers.

I hate being wrong.

November Nights

What do you do at 2 a.m on a November night?

Most people would be in bed... And I was on my way there...

I got home, longing for the warmth and comfort of my bed, but the closer I got, the more I realized I wasn't ready to sleep. I was tired, but knew sleep wouldn't come right away.

I had a lot on my mind, things I didn't really want to think through. When I lay down to go to sleep, that's when my brain starts running, no, sprinting.

So instead, I put on my sweats and boots, grabbed my camera and the iPod full of Christmas music, and went on my way.

this light stayed red for five minutes

our good friend Merlin

there's something magical about being the first to step in fresh snow

the greatest place on earth

there were more... but they need some editing help.
I loved this half hour. It was exactly what I needed.

Day 12 - A Picture of Something You Love

Seriously, why do they keep expecting me to pick just one?

*Utah State University*

 *this movie*
(I'm presently watching it for about the 80 billionth time, don't even worry. This scene makes me cry EVERY time)

 *yum*

*nothing beats Aggie basketball

*concerts*
(this one being from Backstreet Boys)

And I could go on and on... But I won't.
